![]() The main character is narratively important though, and certain non-combat sections of the game force you to control that character only (such as visits to towns). ![]() So in terms of overall playstyle it doesn't really matter if a certain character is your 1st, 2nd or 3rd selected character, as you can just switch to them whenever you want. Your main character determines important story beats, there are 3 pairs of selectable characters that share their main story (your 1st and 2nd party members in all the combinations you listed), and you can freely switch between party members once they've been recruited. abit flat? Not sure whether it is because they need to make this work regardless of which characters you choose but I don’t feel anything for the characters or plot haha like it doesn’t make me want to save the tree of mana if you get what i mean? I’ll see how it goes I guess. but i’m sure it’ll be fine!! hahaĮarly thoughts on this is that, combat is fine and all but the characters and plot kinda falls. In that order - does this make sense? Or would you advise to choose another main character/swap out the 3rd party member?Įdit: Thanks everyone for your advice!! I’ve decided to start off with Kevin/Charlotte/Riesz and going ahead with the rest hahaha now I’m just trying to figure out the training points and the whole light/dark thing. I have done absolutely no research on the classes except that I personally am inclined towards physical dmg classes. Am just about to start playing trials of mana & i read somewhere that there are quite a few party combinations and as a story completionist, i wanted to plan out the combinations and get a sense check on the party composition viability + how interesting the story is.
